While I know that it's not the BIG draw of VG Exiles, I will admit that the art aspect does have an impact on how soon it releases and it lends a huge hand to the story telling. So, to keep you guys up to speed on my end of the deal, I figured I'd start doing updates, myself. My computer progress was a bit hindered because of a hardware issue but this just leaves me more free time to perfect the hand drawn areas, which will be vastly improved over the last couple episodes.
R1665 has told me that he wants to go with a slightly different, more proffessional look to the story art on this episode. Wish I could go into more detail, but suffice to say that the initial idea of what the story was SUPPOSED to look like in the last two episodes will be more refined. I will say this; while I am working on my animation skills with my personal side project, I'm just not good enough yet. So, I really feel like I would be doing the fans a great disservice by trying to animate in this episode. But maybe some time in the future.
My hope for the look of the art in this episode will be much like the pages of 30 Days of Night, or if anybody has seen the Clash of The Gods series on History Channel. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. I'm still learning and implimenting as I go along. I do have a great amount of faith that my work in this episode will blow away my past attempts. Especially since the ideas being tossed between R1665 and myself are more up my alley!
I really wish I could show some progress, but unfortunately what I am currently working on would blow the whistle on some things that R1665 wants to keep hush hush. Just know that the issues that I had last time won't be such a problem this time around.
Also, I'd like to thank WaveChan for the tutorials that she had created on newgrounds. MASSIVE HELP!! When I get a chance, I'll post links for those of you that want to know an easier faster way of doing art editing in photoshop.
Anyway, just a taste of what's to come, I'll keep you guys posted. Until then, keep an eye on R1665 and myself for further updates!
